In the Museum Vleeshuis|Sound of the City (Museums & Heritage Antwerp), located in a monumental and historic building, you will experience the musical history of Antwerp. A visit to the museum is an interactive journey through six centuries of music life in a metropolis. You will discover not only the rich collection of music-related objects, but also the people behind these heritage objects: the builders, users, collectors.

The museum preserves nearly 3.000 music-related objects: paintings, drawings and photos, musical scores, sound recordings and, above all, many musical instruments. About 500 musical objects are on permanent loan from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp.
